In the heart of Ampangalatsary’s primary forest, the Endrigna Ecovillage team conducted a strategic and community-focused field mission in April 2025. This visit served to monitor ongoing projects and strengthen ties with local communities and partners. Over several days, the team carried out ecological surveillance to assess the health of the primary forest — home to the precious Indri indri — and to guard against human threats like deforestation and fires. The mission also helped review the progress of reforestation, agroecology, and environmental education efforts. Thanks to increasing involvement from local villagers, visible progress is underway: newly reforested areas, well-maintained nurseries, and a growing awareness of sustainability.
